Bark Bites was created because we wanted to find a healthy treat for our Newfoundland. The co-founder is Audric, and he is living with profound autism. We wanted to create an opportunity for Audric to develop job skills and be active in the community. So together with our Newfie, Rumi, we created Bark Bites.
We purchased our freeze dryer in 2024 and started with beef liver. We love the single ingredient: beef liver. Nothing else! We make small batches in our home. This is more than just making treats. Audric learns critical life skills and makes a scrumptious treat that’s truly irresistible to dogs.

Amy, Co-Founder. Amy has a background in business and education. She’s a special education teacher. She cuts and puts the beef liver on the trays.
Audric, Co-Founder. Audric enjoys rock climbing, horseback riding, and spending time with friends and family. He puts the trays in the freeze dryer, puts labels on the bags.
Rumi, Taste Tester. Rumi enjoys walking, swimming, and playing with her squeaky toys. She monitors the progress and eats treats that land on the floor.
